The PD-RE23CN Professional Disc is leading performance recording media for Sony® XDCAM HD™ and XDCAM™ systems. A blue laser optical disc in a cartridge format.
Large 23.3GB capacity enables recording large volumes of footage on a single disc (45 to 85 minutes with XDCAM and 60 to 120 minutes with XDCAM HD), while the fast transfer rate (72 Mb/s with a single optical head unit; 144 Mb/s with a dual head deck) enables stable recording and playback of high bit-rate data such as a 50 Mb/s MPEG IMX stream. Random access makes it quick and easy to locate captured material and simplifies editing.
DURABIS Pro protects the disc surface against scratches even beyond the protective cartridge, providing error-free Professional Disc performance. Hard coating technology pioneered by TDK is part of the Professional Disc specification.
