Hexalock CD-RX is a copy protected CD-R that can be burned with any CD recordable drive that supports multisession burning. You will also need to use the Hexalock publishing software called AutoLock Wizard which is free after registration at Hexalock.com. If you are producing content that you do not want illegally duplicated, then Hexalock CD-RX is a great solution. Hexalock developed a copy protection CD-R using VDH (Virtual Digital Hologram). Once the original CD-R is burned the files or contents can only be viewed/played from the original Hexalock CD-RX copy that you burn. Hexalock CD-RX copy protection CD-Rs are Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs with 30 MB of VDH copy protection software already burned. They are available with a Shiny Silver top surface if you are applying labels, White Inkjet Printable if you are using an inkjet printer as well as a White Thermal Printable surface that is approved for use in color thermal printers like Rimage Everest and Teac P-55.
Note: If you are protecting audio files, the finished CD will only play on computers since the CD will be a multisession disc. CD players do not recognise multisession discs.
