DVD or CD Replication and Printing
Replication is the process of manufacturing a CD or DVD from raw materials. The process begins with transferring Pre-Mastered data to a glass master. The glass master is then made into a stamper. The stamper is used in production and "stamps" polycarbonate plastic in a high-speed injection molding production line. After the polycarbonate is stamped a metalized coating is applied to create a reflectived surface that allows the data to be "read" in CD or DVD players. Artwork is then silkscreen printed on the surface of the CD or DVD and then packaged to form a complete retail ready CD or DVD product.
